Cinema 4D has this tool called X.
when i put a model into the object that is created it makes an object out of the models wireframe, that i later paint with a green illuminated texture. (hoping that this will be clear enough)

that wireframe of my HDD actually consists out of 56 million polygons shaping the wireframe

Wow, nobody tried? Huh, well I guess I'l leave it open for another week, and maybe a couple of you will try. I'm going to make this a bi-weekly thing as well, to give more time.

To reiterate:

CONTEST #5: June 20th — July 4th

In this contest, you have one week to model a complete 5.1 surround sound speaker set. You can make the subwoofer and speakers look whatever way you want, but they must be functional, no future tech allowed. Make them as cool and as crazy looking as you like.
