32 mat

so i tried to import my new ak47 (on the old one the cylinders werent uv texture mapped) into the animator today...
but apparently it had more then 32 materials when i checked it on blender it was only 29 and i only used like 18 (my blender skills r horrible btw i didn't know how to reuse the same mat)
should this go in as a bug or is there a way to fix this???

Only 29???

Unless the object is very complex, you shouldn't need more than 2 or 3, best to use only 1. Trouble is, you're assigning colored materials to your model instead of UV mapping it and putting it on 1 texture/UV. Go look up some UV mapping tutorials for Blender, and UV map your object using only 1 material.

no no thats past tense and i got it down to 5 or 6 materials still same problem

You don't get it, do you?  ONE MATERIAL PER MESH AT MOST, if you're doing anything else, "Ur Diogn It Wrogn!"

Edit:  What do you mean "past tense"?  Nothing here is in past tense.

He's actually got a point - The fact that you type as if you're on an instant messenger (no punctuation) makes it difficult to read and follow. Please type clearly. However you are typing in english. I suggest you post this bug to the latest Beta thread and see what Brian can do about it, if in fact you are using 5/6 materials -- In fact, why don't you post the .obj file so we can take a look.
