Barbie and the Valley of the Jedi


Story:
After the stealing of the Modly Crow, Jan Ors' space ship, Barbie needs to recover her force powers, meanwhile some jedis decided to stop her in spite of the jedi council decision to let Barbie do. Barbie must go to the Valley of the Jedi, on Ruusan, and find the hidden nexus of the force, to recover her powers.

You incarnate Barbie and you must search for the nexus that will give you back your force powers. With a lightsaber as unique weapon, you are going to face fallen jedis, and finally find the hidden cave where the nexus is.

Sounds like a short story (only two maps), but... interesting...

Project Concept

I want to get the dynamics of the game to be like WoW, RS  or Oblivion - A leveling up/questing game, obviously multiplayer will be impossible (Unless I create like an arena and you have have arena matches).
I might not have the whole leveling thing, just adventures you go on.

Year: Unknown... 100k BC?

Story:
Your city of Eldoriah, the last remaining stronghold of the present alliance of Man, was over run by the devastating forces evil, the Torukk.
Favored by the Gods, Eldoriah was saved by a Guardian sent by the Gods, Ashaven. (Your character)

After the victory at Eldoriah, you have been sent into the parallel world of darkness to fight the Torukk, and defeat their leaders.

Can't really say much more for the story, as it could ruin quest plots etc...

Weapons:

Melee weapon: Sword/Katana - Dealing 67% of the opponents HitPoints

Fire Ball: Dealing 40% of the opponents HitPoints with a 2 second cool down.
*Picture if from a Mario Fire ball*

Holy Shock: Dealing 55% of the opponents HitPoints with a 4 second cool down.

Exorcism: Dealing 80% of the opponents Hitpoints with a 120 second cool down.

#1 . Pheries Bohknus - Leader of the Ghost Army of Bohknus.

#2 . Theludor Hetvan - Leader of the Dead Mans Army, the first King of Eldoriah, 
       betrayed by his own people.

#3 . Raven Helm - A Demon like creature, leader of Darkness and evil lost souls of 
       dead Helm. (Dead Helm is going to be some shrine - Gorge - Valley, idk yet.)

So just a few Q's.

- I was thinking for the quest givers/'story tellers' I could just make them like a light switch, just click on them and like they will say something or something will pop up with what they want you to do; "Go away." "Do I know you?" "Story/quest". Is this possible?

- If I was going to make the damage do a % should I lower them? 'Cause the bosses wouldn't be very hard if I gave them like 100k HP, it would be like killing any other mob. So should I just make them do a certain amount of damage? (Obviously I wouldn't actually have a boss with 100k HP)

_That's all I have for it now, creating the first map now (Music too).

If any of you could give advice, ideas or your thoughts on my Idea that would be great, oh and some help along the way i.e. with programming mostly (Im terrible at doing/learning that stuff, failed so hard at school - using visual basic... BASIC.) I would love that!

____________ Run into a few problems. I just downloaded the new Beta(14) and It works fine, just the light I placed doesn't seem to want to light up the floor.. :(

Also, I was looking at how to change the camera and I made it 3rd person, however, I want to put an angle on it so you are kind of looking down on your character, this is not the problem, but some coding help on the camera issue would be nice.

Now, the actual problem with the camera is... The character moves around all nice like, but when you  go to turn, the character turns but not the camera itself. Kinda hard to explain, heres a video which might help...

The katana looks too short to me. 


The dialog definitely seems possible.  Not sure about leveling, though.
