3D Models
« on: May 27, 2014, 09:52:21 AM »
Since the great purge, of course, there is no longer a 3D model thread. So, to fill the gap, here are a couple of shots of a creature I'm working on...

Nicely done; I wish my modeling skills were that advanced!

Great to see some new work of yours! I might post something new as well soon.
Hey, are you going to rig and pose your character?

Yep, that's the plan, but first I need to do a fair bit more work on the normal map and the texture. This guy has a high to low poly normal bake and I need to do some sculpting on the high poly model to get some more detail into the normal map, so that's what I'm experimenting with lately... Ultimately I want him running around in the Dim3 engine.

Yay, do it!

Wow, I can't believe all the old stuff is gone. If we keep having these purges, we won't have any history left at all.  :(

It's nice to see the community still exists, though.

The problem is that have the stuff that was here was hosted on some external site that long since removed the pictures, so most everything was a broken link, and then there was help items full of currently wrong information!

A little bit more progress on my wee man. Mostly work on the normal map, but also started adding some variety to the texture and the specular. Nearly ready to bring him into the Dim3 engine...

Hehe That's exactly what I thought too. What are you working on at the moment? I saw the goblin creature of yours and I like it, will there be more?
