3D Model Thread
« on: December 17, 2008, 07:30:25 AM »
Hey, its me and my massive 3D model thread! The largest thread in the forum! :D

There aren't any rules nobody follows them anyway.

Try to post 3D models that are actually worth looking at and took a little longer then 5 minutes to make.

My old shotgun looked horrible, so I redid it, with a higher polycount too:

Also some screenshots of a grate I did for Inspire:

I'm going to fix the proportions to look like an adult.
[EDIT]And the blood needs to be more obviously blood, as Alex said before.

Nice p22 ccccc, but why'd you select a .22LR pistol?

Because it looks cool. :P

Hey, guys, i like that thread, but let's try to post less comments and more pictures this time.
You actually can combine comments and images in one post. It's annoying to browse through 80 pages of "Hey, that's nice!" "Wow, how did you do that?" "Because it looks cool" without any images. Let's keep the threads easier to browse!

The post count doesn't really matter (Yes, ccccc, I am talking about you too ;)). A lot of empty posts won't make you a better member. Exactly the opposite will happen - you'll appeal immature.

Compliments are good for motivation, but keep them for those posts, where you actually have something really important to ask/say.
It's not a chat room - it's a forum. :)
All in all, let's use this restart for a better forum with a lot of interesting content and less empty posts!
I like how this thread started.

Oh yes, we still got the Dim3 IRC-channel if you are interested, btw.

Good point Imon. Thank you.

NEW RULE! No posting unless there's an image. :P

More Inspire! Media work. NOTE: I have a bunch of things to show, but I'm going to post them slowly over time, so I don't run out of things to show. :)
Dumpster with bad UV layout.

A barrel.

Nah, I don't think that's necessary. :)
Nice shot gun, btw.

However, I'll repost some of my early works.
This is a Testingmodel I made, so it's not finished. Maybe I will finish it sometime and give it a better texture.

There's my image.

Alex, that barrel is crazy awesome too. Why are you so great at texturing metal!

I got some stuffz to talk to you about. ;)

EDIT:

On second thought, I realized that that was a pretty pointless post, so here is a portable radio I made a while ago. Now that I look at it, I don't think it's totally finished. I'll add a couple scratch layers...but plastic is difficult to get right...

Thank you Kyle. :) I really like that radio, especially the nice thick antenna.
